I've found that the coasters work very well - they're leather on the back so they won't damage the surface you put them on, and dripping water won't cause your glass to stick to the coaster because of the variegated surface that the bamboo and threading create.

The holder that they come in is very nice as well - no chips, nice semi-gloss finish. If you can't tell from the picture, it's actually a dark mahogany (not black).

If you like the way these coasters look, then you'll be happy with the product!
