"The best campfire tool ever, its not a gimmick." 2010-04-27 By Randall B. Miller (Tulsa, OK) I bought a lot of camping equipment based on researching Amazon...tent, lights, etc. The biggest pleasure ended up being the Blow Poke, I will never do anything with a fire without it. More than half the time, it instantly "doubles" your flame size, and almost always turns embers into flames. And the length makes it great, even without the blow hole. You can mess with the fire standing up. I love this thing. What a great gift idea for a fireplace owner. No one has really heard of this thing, it seems. Sit in your easy chair and mess with your fire from afar, instead of squatting with your head near the fire. You can use it as a walking stick, or for defense too. Wow!
"fire blower" 2010-04-02 By Elmer (Eastern North Carolina) a great product both inside and outside the home...."stokes" a fire instantly....highly recommend to keep the flames burning
"Awesome product...works just as well as those costing 2-3 times as much" 2010-02-26 By Dorothy J. Reifinger (northeast pennsylvania) I gave this to my son for his birthday, he has an indoor fireplace as well as a fire pit in the backyard. It works just as well as the one that costs 2-3 times as much. I would recommend this product to anyone with indoor and outdoor fireplaces.
"Yeah, it's awesome" 2008-10-09 By A. Cascorbi (Portland, Oregon) Got this as a gift for my husband, and we both love it. It just WORKS REALLY WELL. You can really get things burning with this tool. It's so much better than a plain poker, but you can use it to move big logs easily (in other words, get this, instead of a plain poker). Well-made and sturdy. Gave one as a housewarming gift to a fire-loving friend and he just loves it, too.
"Not a good bugle. Ultimate poker-bellows combo!" 2008-04-22 By G. Park (Venice, CA) Went camping to Big Sur, CA where there was a bit of a "gear off." Who's got the coolest new gear, be it a stove, chair, or marshmellow skewer. Without claiming outright victory, let's just say the Firehawk scored major points. People were at first skeptical, saying, 'What is this crazy thing? It's not a very good bugle." Then they experienced the Firehawk in action and changed their hearts & minds as the Firehawk roared a dying fire to life and warmed the huddled souls in the dark wilderness night.
The Firehawk is for people who love to tend fires, poke at it, move logs around, and create pseudo forge/ovens to burn random stuff in. If you're the kind of person that loves to maximize the burning the wood and loves simple multi-functional tools, this is for you. Unlike other mechanical bellows that are noisy, the Firehawk is quiet, keeps you at a comfortable distance, works as poker and is outright ingenious in design. I'll never go car camping without it.
